Megan is a running, hiking, cycling, and overall sports enthusiast! She grew up playing rep soccer before falling in love with running and competing as a 400m hurdler on the NCAA Track & Field team at Simon Fraser University. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and her Masters degree in Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Megan continues to run, currently competing in distances ranging from 5km to Half Marathons on the road and in the trails.
In her practice, Megan integrates her expertise in musculoskeletal and neurological injuries with her first-hand experience as an athlete to provide her clients with the highest level of care. She aims to help each client understand the root cause of their injury or pain and collaborates with them to create a treatment plan that will help them achieve their personal goals.
Specifically, Megan has a passion for working with runners of all levels and sports injury clients. She offers running assessments, post-surgical rehabilitation, and return to sport testing. Through her experience working in the public system in acute rehab, Megan also has helped clients after having a hip replacement, knee replacement, or stroke successfully recover function and return to daily activities.
Currently, Megan has continuing education certifications in Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal therapy (Orthopaedic Division – Level 1), Cervicothoracic Disorders (AMP Healthcare), Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy of the Lumbar Spine (McKenzie Canada – Part A), and Concussion Management (Concussion Rehab Works). She is involved in her community, frequently volunteering at events and with the Physiotherapy Association of BC.
