Jay first began his career during Trailside’s inception, working for four years as a Kinesiologist after graduating from SFU in 2004 (with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology). He then went on to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney (Australia) in 2010. After working and gaining invaluable experience down under, he returned to Trailside in 2016.
Jay has furthered his education by obtaining Level One certification in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Levels One and Two in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS). While in Australia he also attended Levels One and Two of the Watson Headache Institute’s Headache course titled “The Role of C1-C3 Cervical Afferents in Primary Headache” (For further information, go to www.WatsonHeadacheInstitute.com)
In the fall of 2016, as Coquitlam was hosting the BC 55+ Games, Jay volunteered to act as Director of Medical Services, helping deliver a very successful 5-day event.
