Kieran completed his Masters in Physical Therapy from The University of British Columbia. Prior to this, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, with a certificate in Active Health and Rehabilitation.
During his undergraduate degree, Kieran gained his initial clinical experience working with patients with permanent disabilities. It was through the use of exercise therapy that he realized the potential in using evidence-based exercise prescription to help people reach their optimal functional capabilities. This inspired him to continue his education in rehabilitation, and thus pursue a degree in Physiotherapy.
Since beginning his career in Physiotherapy, Kieran has had significant experience with many different patient populations ranging from post-surgical hip and knee replacement rehab to sports injury management.
Kieran approaches treatment in a comprehensive fashion; providing different techniques including manual therapy, soft tissue, taping and exercise prescription based on each patient’s needs. He believes in not only using a hands-on treatment approach but also in providing his patients with the skills and knowledge that allow them to continue the rehab process outside of the clinic.
Having gone through the rehabilitation process himself for injuries from soccer, skiing and running; Kieran uses these experiences to look at the rehabilitation process from the perspective of the patient. He values his patient’s input during their rehabilitation journey to create, achieve and surpass personal rehabilitation goals.
